Everyone has a “Top 10” or “Best” list these days - especially when it comes to fitness apps! While it is easy to download an app onto your phone, unless you’re going to use it – does it really matter? When evaluating an app, we felt the following were more important:

  • It is user-friendly?
  • Does it meet your basic needs and have enhanced features to grow with you?
  • Is it reliable and accurate?

With that as our criteria here is our list of 10 Health and Fitness apps you might just actually use!

My Fitness Pal

MyFitnessPal is the most popular health and fitness app in the world, and it’s easy to see why. The app’s database of more than 6 million foods makes it easy to track your diet, no matter what you eat. Whether you’re trying to lose weight or put on muscle, the app helps determine the best things to eat to meet your goals.


Tell Sworkit the type of workout you’re looking for (strength, cardio, yoga, or stretching) and the amount of time you’ve got (anywhere from five minutes to an hour), and the app delivers the moves to follow during your sweat session. If you opt for premium ($4.99 per month), the app lets you get even more personalized, by setting the number of reps and the areas of the body you want to focus on.
